PX1120D Dead-Reckoning Receiver Introduction
6th Aug 2021
The PX1120D brings latest concurrent GPS / GLONASS / Galileo / Beidou / QZSS dead-reckoning technology to the mass market. Previous generation S1216DR8P uses GPS / GLONASS / QZSS or GPS / Beidou / QZSS satellite signals. PX1120D can use two more satellite constellations at the same time, offering improved GNSS positioning performance in signal blockage environments prior to completing DR calibration doing sensor fusion GNSS/IMU navigation.
The PX1120D is for 4 wheel vehicle application only. It's not suitable for other application platform such as personal tracker, motorcycle, ...etc.
When the four-wheel vehicle application has wheel-tick signal available and connecting to PX1120D using suitable level shifter at 3V level, PX1120D perform GNSS / IMU / wheel-tick sensor fusion Automotive Dead-Reckoning (ADR) solution, offering best possible GNSS/DR accuracy.
If the application is unable to access vehicle wheel-tick signal, PX1120D forms GNSS / IMU sensor fusion Untethered Dead-Reckoning (UDR) solution, still offering very good GNSS/DR accuracy providing continuous navigation in tunnels and underground parking lots where normal GNSS receivers cease to output valid position.
Unlike other dead-reckoning solutions on the market which is offered either as ADR solution for use with wheel-tick signal, or UDR solution for use without wheel-tick signal, the PX1120D is an ADR / UDR dual-use receiver, greatly simplifies logistics when targeting both kinds of applications. .
